Founded in 2017, Apples by the Baie is a family-owned orchard built on a simple idea: grow delicious fruit and create a place where visitors can slow down and experience the best of New Brunswick’s agricultural roots. Named after the Baie de Bouctouche, the beautiful body of water across from our farm, our orchard benefits from the unique coastal setting that makes this corner of New Brunswick such a special place to grow.
We grow a variety of apples, including Honeycrisp, Gala, Ambrosia, Fuji, and Cortland, and are proud to be one of the few pear orchards in New Brunswick. Our pear varieties include Bosc, Bartlett, Tear Dew Drop, and Asian pears.
Come autumn, visitors can wander through the orchard, pick fruit straight from the trees, and take in the peaceful coastal scenery. The experience extends beyond the harvest, with our family finding creative ways to transform our fruit into something special. From jams, chutneys, and preserves to fresh-pressed juices, apple chips, and our signature spiced apple cider, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the flavours of the orchard. We also share a taste of our family’s Indian heritage through favourites like samosas and chai at special events throughout the season.
At Apples by the Baie, we believe the best memories are made over good food, fresh air, and time spent together. Whether you’re filling a basket with freshly picked fruit, exploring the orchard, or discovering a new favourite treat, we invite you to experience a little taste of life by the Baie.
